Onboarding rework

A clearer step-by-step flow to claim your @name, build your page, pick a plan, and publish.

A clearer step-by-step flow to claim your @name, build your page, pick a plan, and publish.

A clearer path from signup to live page

Onboarding is now a guided wizard with dedicated steps and URLs: Theme > Bio > Socials > Links > Preview > Plan. Each step has its own page, so you always know where you are, and you can pick up where you left off if you leave and come back.

After you claim your @name, the flow takes you straight into building your page, your draft profile is created early, so your work is saved as you go and shows up in the dashboard.

Sign up your way

You can still register with email and verify your address, or continue with Google after claiming a handle. Google sign-up now lands on onboarding with your @name carried through, same as the email path.

When you add social links during onboarding, they are laid out in a clean bento grid on your page, up to six per row, so your profile looks structured from the start, not like a plain list.

Plan step and upgrades

On the final step you can publish free (with to.it.com branding), or upgrade to Personal or Pro.

  • New users on the free plan are sent through checkout correctly, no more dead ends when starting a paid plan.
  • After a successful upgrade, the plan step shows a focused success screen with your plan benefits and clear Publish now / Continue editing actions, instead of asking you to pick a plan again.

Checkout returns you to onboarding when payment succeeds; if something goes wrong, you can retry or continue on the free plan.
